Monday evening, Rev. Father Healey, curate of St. Patrick’s church
officiating, when Miss Francis Murphy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Murphy, Deseronto road, became the wife of Harold Young, son of D.W. Young,
reeve of South Fredericksburgh and Mrs. Young. Mr. and Mrs. Young are making
their home in South Fredericksburgh.

1896 by E.S. Shorey. Witnesses: Edward H. Phippen, South Fredericksburgh
& Susie Young, Bath, Ont. PHIPPEN - YOUNG - The marriage of Miss Nellie Gertrude
Phippen to Mr. Fletcher Young, took place at the residence of the bride's
mother, Mrs. Richard Phippen, Conway, on Wednesday afternoon, at 2:30
o'clock, 30th Dec. The ceremony was performed by Rev. E. S. Shorey, in the
presence of a large number of guests. The bride was attired in a handsome
travelling costume, and was assisted by Miss Susie Young of Bath, sister of
the groom and Mr. E. H. Phippen ably performed the duties of best man. The bride and groom
are popular young people, and have the best wishes of a large circle of friends,
including THE BEAVER. The presents were numerous and costly. The happy couple
took the train at Ernesttown under a shower of rice and old shoe leather, for
a trip to Brockville and other points. On their return, they will reside on
the farm of the groom, Sandhurst, where a comfortable home is in readiness,
and everything calculated to make a happy and prosperous wedded life.
