Comments:		I believe I am descended from Rev. Robert McDowall. His son Ebenezer came to Michigan, and I think he had a son Edward, born in 1837, who was my g-g-grandfather. If anyone has more information on Ebenezer I would love to hear from you!

Comments:		My 5th great-grandparents were David Archibald McTaggart who married Deborah VanSkiver. You have a wonderful and very helpful website. I plan to order your book about Adolphustown and South Fredericksburg. If there are other publications about the early history of your area that might be helpful, please let me know. Comments:		This is one of the best sites, my Mother and G-Grandmother were both from the area. I have found a lot of useful information. My Mom remembers a fire in Napanee, where the house and occupants were allowed to burn to death because the firemen weren't allowed to cross the river. I’m still looking for information about my G-Grandma being shot I guess around 1900. Keep up the great work.

Comments:		I am looking for information on James ( Jacobus) Van Alstine born 1738 in Albany NY, his son, James born 1776 in Batavia NY married to Rebecca Forshee and their son Simon born 1804 in Richmond Lennox Addington married to Sophia Jane Powers. Jacobus was a member of the KRRNY and died in Montreal in 1778. Because he was part of this Regiment, is he designated UE and if so can this be used as "proven" information for obtaining UE status? Thanks if anyone can help.

Comments:		Hi: This is a really informative site. I happened to be here by chance and have seen a lot of info I can use. One thing I am curious about is why Marvel Garrison who married Mary Roblin was not considered UEL but Mary was. They both landed in Adolphustown at the same time and Marvel was granted land. He lost his fortune (property, etc.) after he fought in the Revolutionary War with the British but I cannot find much info on him after he came to Canada. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have signed your book a few years ago so hope I do not forget this site so I can come back again. Thanks. Helen

Comments:	I am seeking information about John Stillwell Clute and his wife Maria Wood Clute. They were married on Dec. 25, 1827 in Ernestown, Ontario. Maria died in 1881 in Picton. Most of their children were born in or near Picton. Daughter Frances Eliza born at Bath, married David Scott of Kingston on 15, Aug 1850. Rest of the children were James M, Charles C,Agnes Marie,and John Stilwell Jr.. Grandaughter Agnes H.(Aggie Scott) may have married a Pettingell(gale) of the Prince Edward Co. area. The Clute family and possibly the Wood family were Loyalists. Any information about any of these folks would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Nancy

Comments:	John Bininger, who was an early UEL inhabitant of Adolphustown is an ancestor of mine. His older brother, Abraham Bininger Jr. and other brothers remained in Salem County NY. John's departure to Canada was a source of deep sadness in his family. I am interested in locating John Bininger's grave as well as other information on his relationship with the son of Philip Embury, a cousin of John's. John's father, Abraham Bininger and Philip Embury were prominent Moravian preachers in the United States.

Comments:	Looking for any info on Richard Barbary and wife Jane Ann Rikely Barbary. <br> <br>Jane died at the residence of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Rikely, Hayburn (I assume this is where Margaret lived), on the 7th of Feb. Deceased was 82 years. Reference states this was from a 1905 scrapbook but Jane is living with her brother John & Margaret Rikely in the 1901 census and was noted as being 70 years old then. Assuming her age was correct in both cases, her death year would be more like about 1913. It is believed Jane may be native American (or at lease half).

Comments:	I am trying to find info on my grand father Simeon Rombough. He was born in Canada, moved to New York State, married a Maryette Thayer and had a son Dudley born 5 Oct 1908. He lived in the Port Leyden and Lynosdale New York area. He worked a number of jobs I am told and logged on the black river for Gould Paper in Lyons Falls New York. He died some time before his son turned 18. This is verbal history so may be a little off. His son married Mary Bannon form NYC. They had 7 children, I am the eldest. I would appreciate any information anyone could provide. I sincerely wish to recontact with my fathers family---there are lot of us around this area to say hello.
