The author is a life-long local resident and also a sixth generation descendant of pioneer John Hough, U.E., who settled in the Sillsville area in 1784.

TWO CENTURIES IN PARMA covers the ownership of the lots on Concession 2, Additional, from the Crown Grant to the present owner, and includes genealogical information and history on the families who live there. Names include Haight, Brooks, Mallory, Allison, Young, Wagar, Ruttan, Lloyd, Powell, Garrison, Grooms, Stratton, White, Box and many, many more. The book has 101 pages, 2 maps and 41 pictures.
