The Church Deed June 1, 1869 Andrew Drummond Fraser & Charlotte Fraser (his wife) to Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church: Philip Alkenbrack, Byard Detlor, William Gifford, John S. Bell $40.00 – ½ acre One half of an acre of land of Lot number Twenty in the third
Concession of the Township of Fredericksburgh, lying along side of the main travelled road and situated on a rise of land
about midway between the Blacksmith shop on said
lot and the log house on said lot now occupied
by Patrick Miler and being the piece of land upon which a church is now being erected for the Methodist Episcopal Church of Canada. There is very little information available about the church. The frame building, erected in 1869-70, was, in 1890, moved to
Sillsville to become the Methodist church for the Sillsville community. |
